Description
Front cover showing vellum binding. It has a leather spine label with the title in gold; a clear sign that this book was destined to be stored with the spine facing outwards. The turning round of books took place over the course of the 17th century – indicating that this binding was probably given to the book around the same time that the inscription "Sum J. Morsii" was scrawled onto a page around two thirds of the way through the text.
